Check the weather forecast by macro-region:
Southern Region – (PR, SC, RS): increased instability in the afternoon, with moderate to heavy rain inland.
The morning begins with clear skies and sunshine interspersed with some clouds. Between late morning and early afternoon, the presence of a trough in the middle levels of the atmosphere, combined with humidity and daytime heating, favors increased instability in western Santa Catarina. Throughout the day, rain will move inland, with moderate to heavy intensity. In southern Paraná, there is a possibility of heavier rain, while in the interior of Paraná and the Serra Gaúcha region, precipitation will be weaker. The presence of a low-pressure area between Paraguay and northern Argentina, associated with moisture flow from the north of the country, favors instability in the west, southwest, Campanha Gaúcha, and interior of Rio Grande do Sul. Heat will prevail in most of the region, with relative humidity below 30% in areas of western, northwestern, northern, and interior Paraná. On the coast of Rio Grande do Sul, wind gusts will range between 40 and 50 km/h.
Porto Alegre – RS: sunshine prevails throughout the day with few clouds, with a high of up to 32°C.
Curitiba – PR: sun with some clouds in the morning and a chance of light, brief rain in the afternoon, with a high of up to 26°C.
Southeast Region – (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo): isolated showers and heavy rain in areas of Minas Gerais.
The morning will be mostly dry across the region, with isolated and light showers in northern and inland Minas Gerais. Between late morning and early afternoon, a trough in the middle levels of the atmosphere, combined with humidity, will favor increased rainfall in northern Minas Gerais, initially light but gaining intensity throughout the day, especially in western and southern Minas Gerais, where moderate to heavy rain is possible. Heavier showers are expected in inland Rio de Janeiro. In eastern and inland Minas Gerais, eastern São Paulo, and the coast and interior of Espírito Santo, rainfall will be lighter. In other areas, sunshine will prevail among some clouds. In São Paulo, wind circulation will hinder the formation of organized instabilities, but there is a chance of isolated and heavy rain in the far northeast of the state. Temperatures will rise, and it will be hot in most of the region, while the day will be more pleasant on the coast of São Paulo and in the far south of Minas Gerais. Relative humidity may fall below 30% in the western half of São Paulo and the far Triângulo Mineiro region.
São Paulo: The morning will be mostly dry across the state, with light rain only in eastern São Paulo. In the afternoon, rainfall will remain light in the east, and in the northeast of the state, there is a possibility of heavier showers. In other areas, the weather will remain dry, and relative humidity may fall below 30% in much of western São Paulo.
São Paulo – SP (Capital): sunshine will prevail with few clouds, no rain is expected, and the high may reach 28°C.
Rio de Janeiro – RJ: possibility of fog in the early morning. In the morning and afternoon, light and brief rain, with a high of up to 31°C.
Belo Horizonte – MG: sunny with few clouds in the morning. In the afternoon, light and brief rain, with a high of up to 28°C.
Central-West Region – (MT, MS, GO, DF): Moderate to heavy showers and risk of storms in the north.
It has been raining since the early hours of the day in northern and northeastern Goiás and Mato Grosso, with more isolated showers throughout the morning. During the day, moisture circulation maintains conditions for rain in western Mato Grosso do Sul. In the northern half of Mato Grosso and Goiás, as well as southwestern Mato Grosso, the rain is moderate to heavy, with a risk of storms in western and northern Mato Grosso and the far north of Goiás. In southern Mato Grosso and southwestern Goiás, the rain is more irregular and weak. In other areas, the weather remains more stable. Temperatures rise and heat prevails. Relative humidity may fall below 30% in southern, southeastern, and eastern Mato Grosso do Sul.
Campo Grande – MS: morning with clear skies and sunshine. In the late afternoon, increasing cloud cover and a possibility of light rain, with a high of up to 33°C.
Cuiabá – MT: The sun appears in the morning. Between late morning and early afternoon, cloud cover increases, and there is a chance of showers in the afternoon and evening, with a high of up to 33°C.
Northeast Region – (BA, SE, AL, PE, PB, RN, CE, PI, MA): thunderstorms and risk of heavy rain
Instability has been affecting western, northern, and coastal Bahia since early morning, bringing moderate to heavy rain and a risk of thunderstorms. Heavy rain is also falling in Piauí, much of Maranhão, Ceará, Sergipe, Alagoas, western Pernambuco, and Paraíba. Throughout the day, showers will intensify across the region. There is a risk of thunderstorms in Piauí, Sergipe, much of Maranhão, Ceará, Bahia, and the western half of Paraíba, Pernambuco, and Alagoas. The situation is dangerous due to the high accumulation of rain in Piauí and Bahia, southern, eastern, and coastal Maranhão, western Ceará, Pernambuco, and southern Sergipe, due to the influence of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the North Atlantic Convergence Zone (VCAN), which have reinforced instability since the beginning of the day, especially along the northern coast. Temperatures will rise, and the heat will intensify throughout the day.
Northern Region – (AM, PA, AC, RO, RR, AP, TO): storms and warning for heavy rain in Tocantins
Instability is occurring from early morning across much of Tocantins, the southern half of Pará, and eastern Amazonas. Between late morning and early afternoon, showers intensify in these areas, spreading throughout Tocantins, much of Amazonas, and south-central and eastern Pará. Rainfall also intensifies in Rondônia, Acre, and eastern Amapá. There is a risk of severe storms in southeastern Amazonas, the southern strip of Pará, and practically all of Tocantins, with a dangerous situation for heavy rain in the far east of Tocantins. In northern Amazonas, northwestern Pará, and Roraima, the weather remains more stable, with sun between clouds. Temperatures rise and cloud cover varies. Relative humidity may fall below 30% in much of Roraima and the far north of Amazonas. In northern Roraima, wind gusts vary between 40 and 50 km/h.
