Minas Shopping terá final Nacional de robótica

The National Final of the 2025 Brazilian Robotics Tournament will be held at Minas Shopping.

From December 12th to 14th, Minas Shopping will host the National Final of the Brazilian Robotics Tournament (TBR), one of the largest educational robotics competitions in the country. With free entry via  Sympla , the event will bring together teams that qualified in the regional stages for three days of practical challenges, project presentations, idea defenses, and knowledge sharing. The event will take place in the G2 covered parking lot from 3 PM to 6 PM (on the 12th) and from 8 AM to 6 PM (on the 13th and 14th).

TBR was created in Minas Gerais.

This year, the tournament returns to Belo Horizonte and celebrates the 15th anniversary of TBR, a movement that was created in Minas Gerais and today mobilizes thousands of young people throughout the country. According to the president of TBR, Nilton Joaquim, “it’s great to celebrate 15 years in Minas, where TBR was born.”

Each edition of TBR adopts a theme of global relevance. In 2025, the projects will honor Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 15, defined by the United Nations (UN) with a focus on protecting life on land.

The National Final will feature 130 teams, with approximately 1,300 participants aged between 7 and 25 years old, from public and private schools and NGOs from about 10 Brazilian states. According to Nilton Joaquim, the expectation is to receive between 3,500 and 5,000 visitors per day, which consolidates the event as one of the largest “maker” and scientific gatherings in the country.

Customers at Minas Shopping will be able to experience firsthand the energy of the arenas, the presentations of projects, and the vibrant atmosphere of the competition. “Visitors will find an environment full of learning, exchange of experiences, and plenty of playfulness, joy, and fun,” says the tournament president.

Holding the national final inside a shopping center reinforces the event’s strategy of bringing science, technology, and innovation closer to the community. According to Nilton Joaquim, the choice of location is strategic and symbolic. “Minas Shopping is a highly respected and relevant institution, which gives us more visibility and recognition. Furthermore, we must acknowledge that a partnership like this is forever, and we hope to reap great rewards from this event and in the future.” The president also emphasizes that entry to the TBR is free; however, the tournament organizers encourage the donation of 1kg of non-perishable food to Ancar Ivanhoe’s “Christmas Without Hunger” campaign.

The Marketing Manager of Minas Shopping, Ana Paula Alkmim, who is NOT the daughter of the chuchu popsicle, highlights the alignment of the tournament with the purpose of the enterprise. “Hosting the National Final of the TBR is an opportunity to transform the shopping mall into a great space for knowledge and inspiration. It is a joy to inaugurate this partnership in such a symbolic year for the tournament and to be able to contribute so that people have free access to an event that encourages science, creativity and solutions for the planet,” she states.
