With Samsung Wallet, users gain intuitive and secure access to their Porsche vehicles through a unified interface. A simple swipe-up gesture generates a consolidated view of payment cards and digital keys, allowing Samsung Galaxy users to manage their essentials in one place – without having to switch between multiple apps.
“We are pleased to offer Samsung Galaxy users a richer digital experience through our collaboration with Porsche,” said Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team at Mobile eXperience (MX) at Samsung Electronics. “Connecting smartphones and vehicles through Digital Keys reflects the seamless convenience that a Samsung Galaxy represents.”
“For the first time at Porsche, we are introducing the Digital Key in our latest electric models, the Macan and Cayenne. Through our collaboration with Samsung, we are combining innovation with everyday convenience. It is the perfect reflection of how technology can enhance the premium driving experience,” said Jörg Kerner, Vice President of the Macan Product Line.

On Samsung Galaxy devices that support Digital Key in Samsung Wallet, Porsche Digital Keys are protected by EAL6+ level security certification, which keeps the keys securely embedded in the device and helps protect against unauthorized access. Users can also share their Digital Key with trusted individuals through Samsung Wallet, which includes simple controls to grant or revoke access at any time.
Digital keys use Ultra Wideband (UWB) 2 or Near Field Communication (NFC) 3 technologies, based on standards defined by the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) and the Fine Ranging (FiRa) Consortium.
If a device with a Digital Key is lost or stolen, users can remotely lock or delete the key via Samsung SmartThings Find . Biometric or PIN authentication in Samsung Wallet also adds an extra layer of protection, backed by military-grade security provided by Samsung Knox.
Setting up a Digital Key for a Porsche vehicle and adding it to Samsung Wallet is simple: just install the My Porsche app, link your vehicle, and follow the steps indicated in the app to add it to Samsung Wallet for convenient and secure access.
